Common Questions about Vacation Rental Homes

Q. How do I make a reservation?
A. Use our "Book Now" option on the website, or call us at 800-686-6854 to speak to a reservation agent.  A 50% deposit will secure your reservation, with the final balance due 60 days prior to your arrival.  We accept debit cards, e-checks, Visa, Mastercard & Discover.

Q: Are your properties pet-friendly?
A: We do have several homes which are pet-friendly. Please check that the house you are interested is pet-friendly by visiting our Vacation Rentals section.

Q. What are your age requirements for renting?
A. We do require the primary renter to be 25 years of age and have a major credit card.

Q. What are the Check-In & Check-Out times?
A. Check-In is at 4pm and Check-Out is at 10am, unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

Q. Are we expected to clean when we leave?
A. No, there are a few items we ask to you take care of, such as taking out the trash, but otherwise your cleaning fee pays for the property to be cleaned after you leave.

Q: Are linens and towels provided?
A: Yes, all linens and towels are provided, with the exception of beach towels. (Bath towels are not to be used at the pool/beach.) We will also provide you with starter quantities of dish and dishwasher soap and hand soap at each sink. Otherwise, please bring your own toiletry items such as shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, etc. If you have specific questions about whether a particular item is provided at one of our properties, please contact us.

Q: What if I am arriving late?
A: Not a problem! All our properties have key lockboxes or the ability to access keys at the property, and you will be given complete directions for key access in your check-in instructions.

Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. A Guest may always rebook their stay any time within one year with NO penalty except for a $150 rebooking fee. Otherwise, we strongly suggest the purchase of Travel Protection Insurance through us that will cover you in case of cancellation, delay, trip interruption or weather emergencies. If you must cancel, and you don't have travel insurance or it doesn't cover your circumstances, Calypso will make every attempt to re-rent the property once written notification of cancellation has been received. If cancellation is more than 30 days prior to arrival, Guest will receive a refund of the full amount of Rent paid, less a $150 Cancellation Fee and any other applicable fees, as long as the property is re-rented for the same period. If the property is not re-rented, Guest will be forfeit their original deposit. If cancellation is less than 30 days prior to arrival, Guest will receive a refund of half the Rent paid, less a $150 Cancellation Fee and any other applicable fees, as long as the property is re-rented for the same period. If the property is not re-rented for the same period, the full Rental amount will be forfeited. NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER OR CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL.
